Tree Preservation Orders
Local Planning Authorities sometimes issue TPO’s for significant trees in the area. Before we carry out any work on a tree with a TPO it is a legal requirement to complete and submit an application form stating the work to be carried out and the reasons for doing so. We are very familiar with completing these forms and are more than happy to do so for you.
Additionally, trees within designated conservation areas, normally will require 6 weeks notice to your local planning office, but we are more than happy to arrange the paperwork and submission on your behalf. Depending on your local authority, this permission isn’t always strictly necessary if the tree is dead, dying or dangerous, but it is good practice to confer with your local landscape and tree officer ahead of works.
